Cream of Mushroom Soup

Holy moly, this is amazing and will make you never go back to any canned soup.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Mushrooms, finely diced
  • 3 Tbsp Butter, unsalted
  • 1-2 large pinches of Kosher Salt
  • 2-4 Cloves of Garlic, minced
  • 1-2 Tbsp Flour
  • 1oz Bourbon, Optional
  • 1 1/2 Cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • A few dashes of Soy Sauce

Directions

  1. Sauté the mushrooms with salt and butter over medium heat until mushrooms
  2. Add minced garlic to pan and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Add the flour to the pan and let it absorb all of the butter. Cook for about
  4. Pour in bourbon to deglaze the pan. Make sure to get all the browned bits
  5. Pour in all of the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a medium simmer.
