This demonstrates a modal dialog component. The modal is closed by default. Use the "Open modal" button to open it. While open, focus is trapped inside the modal, pressing Escape or clicking outside the dialog will close it, and focus returns to the trigger.

Interactable controls outside the modal are not focusable by screen readers while the dialog is open (main receives aria-hidden).
