Working Title IFD Overview

The Working Title IFD 540 and 550 bring an authentic representation of these instruments in Microsoft Flight Simulator, but due to the inherent complexity of their operations they may pose a number of challenges that aircraft developers may have to adapt to for full integration. This document explains the new options and configuration changes needed to use them.

Sim Attachment Configuration

Sim attachments are available for both units and these are the preferred way to integrate the instruments.

Panel Configuration

A general knowledge of the IFD540/550 Pilot Guide and IFD540/550 Installation manual is recommended to properly understand and configure the instruments.

Autopilot

The IFD optionally supports configuring an autopilot that runs in the IFD instrument. For information on autopilot configuration see autopilot options.

H Events

The IFD uses H Events for some hardware interactions. For the available H Events see the H Event List.
