Copilot Studio Enterprise Agent Challenge

Join us for the global, virtual Copilot Studio Enterprise Agent Challenge from Wednesday, May 28 to Friday, June 13! Winners will be announced during a virtual celebration event held on June 26th.

This exciting event, hosted by the Power CAT Team, is designed to foster innovation and collaboration among enterprise teams. Participants will learn & participate in a hackathon to build custom agents for their organization with Copilot Studio using real business use-cases.

Teams will have access to envisioning use-case and hands-on learning sessions, inspirational Community-led and MVP-led demos, office hours with tech experts, and the Teams channel with daily tips, Q&A, and interviews.

All project submissions (demo recording + use case and team intro documentation) will be assessed on business value, innovative use of gen-AI, enterprise readiness and technical feasibility. Top 8 teams will be the winners of the hackathon and will receive digital badges as well as custom branded swag along with other opportunities of recognition & story telling.

What is the Copilot Studio Enterprise Agent Challenge? The Enterprise Agent Challenge is an event hosted by Power CAT. It invites enterprise teams to learn, envision, and build agents for their real business use-cases. Teams will participate in a hackathon style competition to build custom agents for their organization with Copilot Studio.
Who can participate in the hackathon? Teams from any enterprise organization may participate. Multiple teams from within an organization can also participate by submitting different use-cases.

When is the event taking place? Registration is now open. The Hackathon will run Wednesday, May 28 to Friday, June 13. This will include 2-3 days of learning sessions led by the experts followed by 2 full weeks for building your projects. During these two weeks, your teams will also have access to the Copilot Studio experts through Teams Channel and Office Hours for any hackathon project related guidance.
What is the theme for this challenge/hackathon? What are the judging criteria? The theme is Build custom agents for your organization with Copilot Studio. The primary judging criteria are:
- Innovative use of gen-AI: Demonstrates innovative use of agentic framework to light up your specific business use-case
- Business Value: Demonstrates highly impactful use-case that drives measurable business value such as Revenue increase, Cost/Time saving, employee/customer Satisfaction increase, Compliance improvement, Error reduction etc. Include the value measurements.
- Enterprise Readiness: Demonstrates thorough understanding of handling Data Security and Privacy, Responsible AI, and overall enterprise compliance.
- Technical Feasibility: Demonstrates the technical ability to implement & deploy the envisioned agentic solution in your organization while respecting all the enterprise regulations.
What are the awards for the hackathon? We will be announcing the Top 8 Judges Awards based on the overall assessment of all the submissions. Submissions will be assessed across following criteria: Innovative use of gen-AI, Business Value, Enterprise readiness, and Technical Feasibility.
What will the winning teams get? Winning team members will receive digital recognition prizes such as Credly badges & certificates. Additionally, each member of the winning team will also receive a custom designed branded swag. All winning teams will have an opportunity to be featured in Customer Story for your team and project.
Who can join my team? Are there any team size restrictions? All team members should be employed by the same organization. A project team can range from 1 to 7 members.
What are the requirements for the hackathon project? Your project must include building an Agent using Copilot Studio. It may be a conversational or an autonomous agent. It should, preferably, use Gen-AI orchestration. It should address a real business need and demonstrate one or more compliance aspects of the agent for enterprise readiness.
Where do I build my project?You are required to build your project within your enterprise tenant and approved environment and ensure you have the necessary licenses and credits.
Where do I submit my hackathon project? A project submission form will be made available during the hackathon period. Submission will include a pre-recorded project demo and supporting documentation that includes the use case & team details. More details regarding the project submission will be provided closer to the hackathon days.
What is the due date for submitting my hackathon entry? The due date for all hackathon submissions is end of day Friday, June 13, 2025.
