Microsoft is partnering with the International Finance Corporation, a sister organization to the World Bank, which will work with designated Microsoft suppliers in emerging markets, starting in Asia, to identify technical solutions reducing GHG emissions, provide implementation assistance and offer financing solutions to help them make investments in more efficient and low-carbon operations.

IFC recently issued a Call for Proposals in February/March 2022 from eligible Microsoft suppliers for investment ready projects reducing carbon emissions. Eligible projects can include, but are not limited to, investments in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and other interventions that can reduce supplier carbon emissions. Projects selected from the Call will be considered for IFC investment and will be processed in accordance with IFC standard policies and procedures. The next Call will launch in spring/ summer 2022.
