Exercise 04 - Secure your workloads
Lab Scenario
In this exercise, you will use Microsoft Defender to help you protect your workloads like Azure SQL MI and Azure SQL Databases, Storage Accounts, and Virtual Machines. We will also configure a managed firewall to protect the network traffic. We will use Azure Firewall.
Objectives
After you complete this lab, you will be able to:
- Review Microsoft Defender Recommendations, Security Alerts and Vulnerabilities.
- Enable Microsoft Defender for SQL and Storage
- Deploy and configure Azure Firewall

Day 2 Reminder
The SQL Managed Instance state check is now part of the Pre-Lab Readiness Check in Exercise 03.
If that check was skipped and SQL MI appears unavailable in Exercise 04, verify it is running and start it before proceeding.
