Weβre excited to announce the Asset Management module β a starter kit for tracking organizational assets throughout their complete lifecycle.
What is the Asset Management Module?
The Asset Management module provides structured data capture for physical assets from acquisition through disposal. It enables organizations to maintain accountability, track custody, document service history, and support compliance requirements across diverse asset types.
Key capabilities include:
- Asset Registration β Capture identifying details, serial numbers, asset tags, and product information
- Ownership and Custody Tracking β Document legal ownership and operational assignments with audit trails
- Service History β Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and upgrades
- Compliance and Audits β Define inspection requirements and document periodic inventory verification
- Financial Visibility β Track acquisition costs and ongoing cost entries for total cost of ownership
Whatβs Included
This model-driven app starter kit includes:
- 17 entities with standardized asset management data models
- Main forms and active views for each entity to support data entry and tracking
- Integration with Core module for organizational structure, locations, and compliance frameworks
The module provides implementors with a baseline application that can be customized to fit specific asset tracking needs, whether for IT equipment, facilities, vehicles, or other organizational resources.
Getting Started
The Asset Management module is available in the FAST Modules Repository under the MIT license. It requires the Core module as a foundation.
