Task 3: Enable Azure Monitor for AI Search and AOAI


  1. In the Microsoft Azure portal, search for and select Monitor.

  2. On the Monitor blade, in the navigation pane, select Alerts.

  3. On the Alerts blade, select Create, and then select Alert rule.

  4. On the Select a resource dialog, expand your lab subscription, expand @lab.CloudResourceGroup(RG1).Name, select the azureaixxxx checkbox, and then select Apply.

  5. On the Scope tab, now that the Scope has been set to Azure AI Search, select Next.

  6. On the Condition tab, under the Signal name dropdown, select See all signals.

  7. On the Select a signal dialog, under Metrics, select Search queries per second and then select Apply.

  8. Back on the Conditions tab, in the Operator dropdown list, verify Greater than is selected.

  9. In the Threshold field, enter 10 and then select Next.

  10. On the Select action groups dialog, select ActionGroupxxxx and then select Select.

  11. On the Actions tab, select Next.

  12. On the Details tab, in the Subscriptions dropdown list, verify your lab subscription is selected.

  13. In the Resource group dropdown list, select @lab.CloudResourceGroup(RG1).Name.

  14. In the Alert rule name field, enter Search queries per second alert rule and then select Next.

  15. On the Tags tab, select Next.

  16. On the Review + Create tab, select Create.

  17. Back on the Alerts blade, select Alert rules.

  18. On the Alert rules blade, you can create new alert rules or edit existing ones. You should see the two different alert rules you just created.
