Configure Function App Private Endpoint

This section will configure the Function App to use a private endpoint with SQL.

Manual Steps:

Step 1: Create Subnet

  1. Browse and log into the Azure Portal

Use the correct URL for your environment:

Worldwide (Commercial) & GCC https://portal.azure.com
GCC-High and DoD https://portal.azure.us
  1. Type in virtual network in the top search box
  2. Select Virtual networks

  1. Select vnet-pe-spark
View Virtual Network

  1. Select Address space from the left navigation
  2. Select + Add address space
  3. Select Add IPv4 address space
  4. Select /24 for the new address space
  5. Select Save

  1. Select Subnets from the left navigation
  2. Select + Subnet

  1. Set function-app as the Name
  2. Set Add

Step 2: Configure Network

  1. Browse and log into Azure Portal

GCC-High and DoD https://portal.azure.us
  1. Enter function app in the top search navigation
  2. Click on Function App

  1. Select Networking under Settings
  2. Select Not Configured for the Virtual network integration setting

  1. Select Add virutal network integration

  1. Select the spark subscription
  2. Select the vnet-pe-spark virtual network
  3. Select the function-app subnet
  4. Select Connect
