Enhanced Document Intelligence

Document Intelligence now supports Standard, Enhanced, and Auto extraction paths. Users benefit from richer structure when documents need it and can change extraction for stored PDFs when reprocessing is available.
User Side
Enhanced extraction can capture richer PDF and image structure, including tables, layout, and selection marks, and users can reprocess eligible documents from workspaces.
Admin Side
Availability may depend on tenant settings, governance policies, workspace scope, action configuration, or admin-managed identities. If you do not see this capability, contact your SimpleChat admin.

Why It Matters
This matters because some documents need more than plain text extraction to answer accurately, especially forms, tables, scanned PDFs, and image-heavy files.
How to Try It
- Check document details for extraction and citation badges.
- Use Change Extraction when a stored PDF should be reprocessed with a richer or faster mode.
- Expect Enhanced extraction to take longer and cost more when admins enable it for richer structure.
