Current release version for Shared Conversations: File Approvals and Faster Mentions: 0.261.001
When a participant contributes a file to a shared conversation it is approved before it becomes available to everyone, so shared context is deliberate rather than automatic. Typing @ and pressing Tab now completes a participant mention instead of requiring a click, and the mention menu is announced correctly by screen readers.
Why It Matters
This matters because shared conversations only work when everyone can see what has been contributed and can bring the right person in quickly.
How to Try It
- Open a conversation and share it with a colleague.
- Have a participant upload a file into the shared conversation.
- Review the file approval before it becomes available to the group.
- Approve it and confirm it appears for the other participants.
- Type @ in the composer to open the mention menu.
- Press Tab to complete the mention rather than clicking it.
- Confirm the mention resolves to the correct participant.
Where to Find It
- Open Chat — Share a conversation, approve a contributed file, and mention a participant.
