066: Store app deployment

Overview​

To add iOS store apps to Microsoft Intune, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center.
  2. Go to Apps > All apps > Add.
  3. In the Select app type pane, choose iOS store app from the available Store app types.
  4. Click Select to display the Add app steps.
  5. Select Search the App Store.
  6. In the Search the App Store pane, pick the App Store country/region locale.
  7. Type the name (or part of the name) of the app in the search box.
  8. Intune will search the store and return a list of relevant results.
  9. Choose the app you want from the results, and then select Select.
  10. On the App information page, add details like the app name, description, publisher, App Store URL, minimum operating system version, applicable device type, category, and more.
  11. Optionally, you can feature the app prominently in the Company Portal.
  12. Once configured, Intune will automatically install and keep the app updated on users' devices.

Remember that this method works for free apps in the App Store. If you have any paid apps, consider using the iOS/iPadOS volume-purchase program.
