Extension Activity

Overview

In this Extension Activity, students will learn how computers communicate with each other, using the radio feature of the micro:bit. Through micro:bit tutorials and pair programming, students will learn how to program the micro:bit to communicate via radio waves.

This Extension Activity is focused on exploring the capabilities of the micro:bit through pair programming, continuing to build the habit of commenting their code, and learning how computers communicate with each other. Students will:

  • Discuss: How do computers communicate with each other?
  • Learn how the micro:bit radio works
  • Create radio games on the micro:bit
  • Reflect on their learning
